Our neighbor, and fellow feline lover, recently visited our local PETCO store (unknowing we have an exclusive discount offer. Her cat Huey had worn down his cat scratching post and was in need of a new one. She purchased the Pavlov’s Cat Cat Scratch Feeder. We thought this was a perfect opportunity to review the scratching post for our readers.

About the Cat Scratch Feeder
The Cat Scratch Feeder is a hybrid between a scratching post and a feeder for cats. This one-of-a-kind scratching post releases cat food upon a cat scratching it. The Cat Scratch Feeder helps train cats to use the scratching post instead of furniture with the reward of food.
The stand and feeder are made of plastic and the scratching area is of carpet material. We have only found it only to come in a tan color. The scratching post stands at 20in. high and the base 13in. in diameter.
Review of the Cat Scratch Feeder
After a few days we checked back with our neighbor to find out that Huey had not comprehended that after scratching, more food would be released. He expected to always find cat food in the dispenser. On a positive note, he has been using the cat scratch feeder more so than the living room furniture. It’s plastic composition and wide base stood the test for 20+ pound kitties.
Our neighbor has also been following Free Cat Advice’s training techniques for getting your cat to use the scratching post, which we (modestly) attribute to the shift from furniture to Cat Scratch Feeder.
